This past weekend was Jessica's birthday, so not as much work got done in the bathroom. However, David did manage to get a lot of plumbing done for the toilet and shower. The original pipes were 1.5" diameter, and according to the county inspector, they need to be 2" diameter. Below are before-and-after pics. We've decided that if the whole engineering thing goes south, he can always make a living as a plumber! :-)
First: removal of all original pipes. Toilet on right, shower on left.

**Some assembly required**

The finished product: new toilet drain on right, new shower drain on left. We extended it from its original place because it had first been right next to the wall due to it being a bathtub.
