Side project

While the bathroom project is kind of stalled, we're keeping busy around the house with side projects. Today's job: fixing the hose spigot in the backyard. When we turn it on, it loses half of its water at the spigot, and we just have a trickle through the hose. Talk about a waste! It also didn't help that the fence separating us from our neighbors was built right where the spigot is. So when we moved in, we had to chop away part of the fence to even turn on the water or hook up a hose. Below are pictures of the process of fixing it. And now it works BEAUTIFULLY! (David did most of the work, but Jessica was a good partner.)

David cutting a hole in the corner of our house. Nerve-wracking!

The pipe that feeds the outdoor spigot.

The wrench waiting for Jessica to hold while David unscrews the spigot from the outside.

Our new spigot will go through that hole!

Hooray! A new spigot, and a coupling that allows us to hook up the hose with ease.
