Sorry it's been a while since our last post....we were supposed to have the plumber come out a few weeks ago to give us an estimate but - he never showed! So it was back to square one with finding a plumber.
We got a name from a service online (they come recommended and have ratings, etc.) and had him out at our place last Saturday. We just got his bid yesterday, and Whew! It's the same as the upper end of what we were planning on spending for all of the other work combined! And his bid didn't include tax or permit fees. So we've asked him to itemize his bid to find out what costs what, exactly, and we're also going to get a few more estimates from other plumbers. We might just have to study up on DIY plumbing work. Who knew plumbers could be so expensive?
Other than that, we haven't really done much work prepping the bathroom. We've sanded the vanity a little, but that's about it. We'll update more once we get more estimates in from other plumbers in the area.
